May 28, 2011 – Burnt Timber

I went to the Range on Saturday to get a good day in before a storm moved in. It’s been rainy yesterday and today here. I spent time in the Burnt Timber area Saturday. I saw a lot of Burnt Timber horses during the day, and I also saw many of the Sykes horses while scoping across to Sykes Ridge.

The first Burnt Timber harem I saw was Santa Fe’s.

May 25, 2011 – Dryhead

On Sunday afternoon I took a quick trip out to Bighorn Canyon. While scoping, I saw that there were horses on the flats south of Mustang Flats; so I headed up there. I first came to Fiero’s harem.

May 22, 2011 – Sykes Ridge

I wasn’t able to spend much time on the Range this weekend due to some significant rainstorms we had during the week. I was only able to spend a little time in Bighorn Canyon, and I’ll try to post some of those photos this week too. Last weekend I was able to have a great trip up Sykes Ridge. This was the first chance I’d had to see some of the Sykes horses up close in quite a while, basically since I did this post: https://pryorwild.wordpress.com/2011/03/04/march-4-2011-lower-sykes/.

Heading up Sykes,  the first non-Dryhead harem I ran into was Custer’s.

May 9, 2011 – New Faces

While on the Range Saturday, I came upon Jackson’s harem. I was happy to see that Brumby and her daughters Jenny and Kaycee were back.
